It's not every day as a Wedding Photographer you get the opportunity to take photos in the beautiful grounds of a castle, and at the same wedding capture the bride and groom arriving at the reception in a row boat. Thats exactly what happened on this day, What an amazing wedding.
The Wedding was set in the stunning grounds of Pennsylvania Castle which has been newly opened as a wedding venue, Not only was the grounds and the view beautiful at the castle, but the interior was just luxurious. It was the perfect opportunity to capture a few candid portraits of Laura in the honey moon suite looking absolutely incredible, not many brides get the opportunity to wear such wonderful clothes and have their hair and make up done so beautifully, so be sure to sneak in some time for this if you can, as lets face it, it will only get worn once, so make the most of it.
So much love, care and preparation had gone into their day, With a nod to the nautical theme which is heavily influenced by their grandfathers and fathers involvement with the sea, a wedding cake made of cheese, fancy dress photo booth and games in the evening, and lets not forget the Bell! A beautiful feature that was on the St Helier ship Laura’s Grandfather sailed with Mr. Winston Churchill. Ash’s family restored the bell for them both to ding on the day, weddings are all about family and I just love how that was incorporated.
To top it off, there’s nothing better as a wedding photographer than being booked by a bride and groom who have as much love for photography as you do. Weddings fly by at a lighting pace, so its my job to document all those special moments throughout the day, but to be given a few extra precious moments is amazing, because of this I was able to steal the newly wed's away for a personal shoot to make use of the beautiful surroundings. In my opinion, It’s really important for the bride and groom to get special moments recorded together like this on the day, as generally its the only time alone together to catch up and reflect as a newly married couple, and visually, it gives you a keepsake that can be looked back on in years to come, so be sure to make time for this, I highly recommend it.
So that was a few of my favourite's from Mr & Mrs Bell’s wedding day, if you would like to see more photos from the special day please have a look using the following link: Laura and Ash's Wedding
