Hi everyone, its been a busy few weeks catching up with you all since Brides the show, I wanted to take the time to confirm the winners of my Raffle which I released on Sunday, and also give a mini review of the show now its settled down a bit, I can’t believe how quickly the last two weeks have gone, what an amazing experience.
Firstly, Congratulations to my gorgeous winners from the raffle I held at brides! I can’t wait to meet you and your ‘Mr’ to be! Lets get strait to it to find out who they were:
First place went to Lucie Oxley! Congratulations Lucie, You won a half price digital wedding package!!
And second place was redrawn for the lucky Heather Wensley! The original winner Lilly had already found a photographer so lady luck is on your side Miss Wensley congratulations, I cant wait to meet you to plan your free engagement photoshoot!
One thing I was so keen to share was my incredible experience at Brides and especially some of the amazing wedding suppliers I met. For anyone who didn’t get a chance to go to the show, then here is a few highlights I couldn’t wait to share;
Firstly, the catwalk was just breath taking, well done ‘Brides the show’ organizers, with a ‘secret garden theme, it was easy to forget where you were, it really did feel like fashion week again! There were some truly gorgeous dress’s coming down the catwalk, what a way to inspire Brides, my hat truly goes off to Brides fashion director Bryony Toogood.
Britta won the best dress competition at the show, well done Britta! Such beautiful elegant designs and so well deserved! I'll be sure to grab a copy of Brides magazine where they'll show us that gorgeous pink dress with those pretty delicate crystal flowers!
Sanyukta dress’s equally made my heart skip a beat, and discovering not only are they stunning luxury wedding dresses, but they’re also organic and made with the highest ethical standards. I hope to work with them both soon on some inspiring photo-shoots!
Another incredibly talented lady was Freya from Brandnewweddings stationary. WOW! Now when I first looked at her stationary I thought it was pretty cool, but on closer inspection, I discovered that not only does Freya create wedding stationary, -From scratch, she also designs and illustrates everything! No copy and pasting here to be seen, her skill set seemed endless, from water colour floral’s to dapper style art deco posters, or simple clean graphics, you name it, I think Freya could design it. This is a bespoke brides dream! You have to have a look and see.
Oh these cakes.. I think if anyone actually ate a Judit Hellebrandt cake I’d probably cry. Her creations are like pure art. I have never seen flowers look so beautiful that could also be eaten? And so delicate looking too, like silk. To contrast this, the flowers were delicately positioned onto cake towers that were so clean and slick you could mistake it for marble. I would challenge any plasterer to make a surface that smooth.
When we last spoke I challenged Judit to a winter themed wedding shoot and a cake to match this. I can’t wait to meet soon and see what she is inspired to create.
Now there are flowers, and then there’s a poodle made of flowers. I fell in love instantly with rickypaulflowers stand, not only do I love dogs, but to tie this in at a show was pure genius. I have never seen anything like it before, and what a lovely bunch he and his amazing team are, he also won a well deserved 3rd place for the editors choice best stand, Well Done!! Ifyour looking for something truly amazing, Luxury and Unique, Ricky would be my number one choice to create it.
Yes there were unicorns at brides the show, and a zebra, But you cannot top a poodle made of flowers in my books, I’d love to work on a shoot with these guys it would be a hoot!
For a fairy tale luxury wedding, surely only a castle will do? When I came across the Belvoir Castle at the show I couldn’t imagine a more picture perfect setting.
Not only are the interiors opulent with Luxury, but the grounds look absolutely stunning too. Summer or winter the castle comes to life and you can even have a fireworks display! What a venue.
If you have dreamed of a vintage inspired venue with an art deco twist, coupled with sunset sea views, cute beach huts and golden sands, then it has to be the Saunton Sand Hotel. What a backdrop for those romantic photos together, day or night, the view would be incredible.
There were so many wonderful suppliers at the show but these were just a few i fell in love with at the show and had to share with you, you can actually still have a look on Brides the show's website here: Brides The Show and still see the exhibitor line up. I'm going next year and I already cant wait to see what the team come up with!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and congratulations to my gorgeous new Bride and Grooms who won the prizes! I cant wait to meet you all soon!
